5 common questions answered
NHTSA identifies two recall areas for certain 2019 Hyundai Veloster vehicles. An engine issue involving improperly heat-treated piston oil rings may cause engine damage, stalling, or oil leaking onto hot exhaust components, creating crash and fire risks. A door latch issue may allow the driver’s door to open during a side-impact crash, increasing the possibility of occupant ejection or injury. Waiting can leave a known safety concern unresolved. A free VIN check can show whether either remedy remains open, and an authorized dealer can complete applicable recall work at no charge. If you receive a notice or notice a concern, contact the service team promptly.
